Fall 2009:

Immediately joined the Seminoles’ starting lineup and helped Florida State to one team victory at the University of Kentucky/Bettie Lou Evans Invitational and two second place finishes at the Cougar Classic and the East A Peach Collegiate…earned three top 20 finishes with all three coming in the first three events of her career…began her career with a strong outing at the Cougar Classic as she finished in 16th place with a two over par total of 218 in leading the Seminoles to a second place finish…her score of 68 in the third round of the Cougar Classic ranks as the best single round score of her career…was a total of 16 strokes over par in the first three events of her career…averaged 73.17 strokes in her first six rounds and carded nine of ten rounds at 76 or better…Florida State’s third leading finisher in three of the Seminoles’ four events during the fall season…averaged 74.70 strokes in 10 rounds during four events…

Spring 2010:

A mainstay in the Seminoles line-up and helped Florida State shoot up the national standings and earn the first top 10 finish in the NCAA Championship finals in school history…the Seminoles’ second highest finisher (tied for 21st place) in the NCAA Championship finals as Florida State finished in 10th place in the finals standing in the event…helped the Seminoles to team victories at the Pinehurst Challenge and the Bryan National Collegiate…in winning the Bryan National Collegiate, the Seminoles defeated seven teams ranked ahead of them in the national rankings…earned one top five, two top 15 and six top 25 finishes during the spring season…closed her inaugural collegiate season with four consecutive top 25 finishes with top 25 finishes coming in the three most important finishes of the year – the ACC Championship (tied for 25th), the NCAA Central Regional Championship (tied for 22nd) and the NCAA Championship finals (tied for 21st)…burst onto the national scene in a big way at the NCAA Championship finals at the Country Club of Landfall at Wilmington, N.C…was the early leader and a media darling in finishing in seventh place with a three under par 69 in the first round of the championship…played in the morning wave and was considered to have played one of the top rounds on the first day of the tournament…with two scores under par and all four scores below 76 she kept herself in the top 25 of the individual standings throughout the four-round, 72 hole event…her progression in the NCAA Championship Finals: first round (seventh place individual, tied for sixth team), second round (tied for 18th place individual, tied for 11th place team), third round (tied for 10th individual, tied for ninth team), final round (tied for 21st place individual, 10th place team)…helped the Seminoles finish in a tie for sixth place at the NCAA Central Regional Championship with a tied for 22nd place individual finish…her finish helped the Seminoles advance to the NCAA Championship finals for the first time since the 2006 season…with scores of 69 and 73 in the first two rounds of the Lady Gator Invitational, she was in a tie for second place in the individual standings and had led the Seminoles to a first place standing in the team standings…her 36-hole score of 142 and her three round tournament score of 214 rank are tied as he best in her career…carded a 73 in the first round of the NCAA Central Regional championship as was in a tie for eighth place in the individual standings after the first round of three round event…was in a tie for 14th place in the individual standings after the second round and finished in a tied for 22nd place as the Seminoles advanced out the regional championship…a top 25 individual finish in leading the Seminoles to a fourth place finish in her first career ACC Championship…back to back scores of 75 in the first two rounds of the event allowed her to sit in a tie for 16th place in the individual standings…finished in a tie for 12th place in the individual standings in helping Florida State to the team championship at the Pinehurst Invitational…after a first round 78, she closed with scores of 74 and 73 (147 total) to move from a tie for 31st after two rounds into a tie for 12th in the final standings…all five Seminoles finished in the top 12 of the individual standings as Florida State won the team championship in the prestigious event…season best four strokes over par at the Lady Gator and the NCAA Championship finals…averaged 74.88 strokes in 25 events during eight events during one of the top seasons in school history by a freshman and the Seminoles as a team…

Fall 2010:

Played as a member of the Seminoles’ starting line-up in all three events and helped the team to a sixth place finish at the season opening Cougar Classic…finished in a tie for 21st place in the individual standings at the Cougar Classic with three scores of 75 or better and a tournament stroke average of 73.67…her score of five strokes over par in the Cougar Classic was the second best score vs. par of her sophomore season…played well at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational in the second and third rounds with scores of 70 and 69 but was disqualified for playing an incorrect ball in the first round of the event…her score of 69 in the third round tied the best single round score of her sophomore season…two sub-75 scores of 73 and 74 in the first and third rounds of the Landfall Tradition…ranked second on the team in stroke average while leading the team in rounds scored at par or better (four) rounds scored at 75 or better (seven) and low score for a single round (69)…averaged a career-low 73.50 strokes in eight rounds during three tournaments…

Spring 2011:

Earned East Regional All-American honors as voted on by the National Golf Coaches’ Association of America (NGCA) in 2011…an individual participant in the NCAA Division I Championship finals…finished in a tie for 45th place in the individual standings of the NCAA Division I Championship finals…Negron carded scores of 72-79-77-73 to finish in the top 45 of the individual standings and fifth among the six individuals who competed in the event…she carded 10 birdies over the course of her 72 holes played in the championship…during her two best rounds – an even par 72 in the first round and a one over par 73 in the fourth round – she totaled seven birdies and was never more than three strokes over par in either round… shot an even par 72 and was in a tie for 10th place after the first round…was among the leaders throughout the first round was one of only 22 golfers in the field who shot par or better golf in the first round… enjoyed a solid first day as she carded 15 holes at par or better with three birdies…carded two consecutive birdies on holes No. three and four and quickly moved under par for majority of the reminder of the round…Negron carded 10 consecutive holes of stellar golf with two birdies and eight holes at par in the middle of her round to keep herself near the top of the leader board…qualified to play as an individual as she finished in a tie for third place in the individual standings in the NCAA East Regional Championships on the Legends Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla…was the highest ranking individual not on one of the top eight teams in the team standings to advance as one of two individuals for the championship finals from the East Regional Championship…at the East Regional Championship she was in a tie for first place after her first round score of 69, in a tie for third place with a 36 hole total of 142 and in a tie for third place in the final standings with an even par score of 216…was one of only five players in the individual race that finished the event at or below par on the course annually utilized for Qualifying School for the LPGA Tour…helped Florida State to a national ranking as high as 28th by Golfstat…totaled two top 10 finishes – a tie for 10th at the Kinderlou Forest Challenge and a tie for third place at the NCAA East Regional Championships – to rank third on the team with two top 10 individual finishes during the spring season…finished in a tie for 11th place in the individual standings in the ACC Championship…was in a tie for seventh place after the first round of the ACC Championship after carding a one over par 73…averaged 76.32 strokes in 25 rounds during eight tournaments…

Fall 2011:

Played in all three of the Seminoles’ fall events and helped the Seminoles to a pair of top five team finishes with a tied for third place team finish at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the University of Oklahoma and a fifth place team finish at the Mo Morial Tournament at Texas A&M University…led the team with four scores at 75 or better with at least one score of 75 or better coming in each of the Seminoles’ three events…finished in second place among her Seminole teammates in the final two events of the season…finished in the top 30 of the individual standings in each of her three outings…was one of only two Seminole players (also Hannah Thomson) who played in all three events during the fall season…best single round score (70), best 36-hole score (143), best tournament total (223), best score vs. par (+7) and best individual finish (tied for 15th) came at the Susie Maxwell Berning…averaged 76.67 strokes in nine rounds during three tournaments…

Spring 2012:

Helped Florida State earn a berth in the NCAA Championships for the school-record seventh consecutive season and for the third-consecutive year during her career…best performance of her junior season came as she led the Seminoles to a third place finish at the Bryan National Collegiate…Florida State, which was ranked 32nd nationally at time of the event, finished ahead of four ACC teams in the event – North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia and NC State and finished ahead of five teams ranked ahead of it in the national rankings: No. 6 North Carolina, No. 19 Ohio State, No. 21 NC State, No. 24 Michigan State and No. 25 Virginia…for the season, her best single round score (69) came in the second round, best 36-hole score (141), best tournament score (219) and best score vs. par (+3) came in finishing in a tie for fifth place as she enjoyed the best tournament of her junior season at the Bryan National… best career ACC Championships finish as she closed the event in a tie for seventh place with a three round score of 220…even par scores of 72 in the second and third rounds as she moved steadily up the leaderboard…was in a tie for 19th place after the first round with a score of 76, in tie for sixth place with a second round score of 72 and finished in a tie for seventh with a final round score of 72…her scores of 72 in the second and third rounds marked her best single round scores in ACC Championships play during her career…her finishes at the Bryan National Collegiate (tied for fifth) and at the ACC Championships (tied for seventh) marked the first time she had earned back to back to 10 individual finishes during her career…Florida State’s second leading golfer with a 75.44 stroke average in 18 rounds during six tournaments…

Fall 2012:

The Seminoles’ leader who played in all three events and who led the Seminoles with a 74.86 stroke average in seven rounds during three tournaments…Florida State’s leader in stroke average (74.86), rounds scored at par (three), rounds scored at 75 or lower (four), lowest tournament score (216) and tied for the lowest single round score of the fall season amongst her Seminole teammates (71)…earned her seventh career top 10 finish as she finished in a tie for seventh place in the individual standings at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championship…three scores of 73-72-71 for an even par total of 216 allowed her to lead the Seminoles and finish in a tie for seventh place in the individual standings…the tied for seventh place finish was tied for the third best finish of her career…her season-best single round scores of 71 in the third round of the Golfweek Challenge and the third round of the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Challenge were tied for the best single round score of the season amongst her teammates…averaged 74.86 strokes in seven rounds during three events…

Spring 2013:

Before Florida State:

Born March 22, 1991…Jessica is the daughter of Adelinda and Rigoberto Negron…a member of the National Honor Society who graduated in the top 10 percent of her high school class with a 3.8 grade point average…is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and loves to swim…hopes one day to become a professional golfer and wants to own and manage her own golf resort…has a tremendous work ethic…chose Florida State over UCF and several Big Ten schools…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in 2013…earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary social science in May of 2103.
