A Tribute To Lee Bowen

Chuck Schrickel (Topeka, KS)
So many times I’ve sat here at my computer in Kansas and Lee Bowen’s broadcasts would transport me to the ballpark. He made Seminole baseball real for me and so many other people around the country. It was a true privilege and honor to listen to him. God bless you Lee Bowen, and thank you. May God also bless his family and help them through their time of sorrow.

Thad Brooks (Boaz, Alabama)
A tragic loss to the FSU community. The artistic voice of Lee will be truly missed during the spring and summer months for many years to come. May God Bless the Bowen family and offer comfort to them during their time of loss and sorrow.

Reid Meierkort (Vermillion, South Dakota)
I have always loved FSU baseball and it wont be the same without Mr. Bowen. I’m very sorry about this

Josh Ciarletta (Acworth,GA)

Thank You Lee,
For all of those times that you were there. Not only the good times, but also the bad times as well. If the team was not playing so well, I would never be able to tell, for there was always a reassurring resonance within your voice. I will miss you very much. Florida State baseball will NEVER be the same. No matter what happens in the upcoming year, it will not be the same if you are not around to enjoy it with us. This upcoming year is for you Lee, for you! From one die hard FSU fan to another, thanks again. You will be sadly missed.

Jack (Tallahassee, Fl)
Lee you will be deeply missed, but you are in a better place now. You, and your family are in my prayers. Thanks for all of the memories… Lee Bowen, safe at home.

Darlene Dawson (Fort Pierce, FL)
My thoughts and prayers are with during this difficult time. May God bless your family!

Sharon (Spring Hill, FL)
God bless the family and close friends of Lee. He touched the lives of more individuals than anyone will ever know “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Rick Reeder (Melbourne, FL)
I’m just an FSU fan for over 18 years. Football and Baseball are my two FSU sports. I never met Lee but have heard him broadcast many times. My prayers are with him.
