Minnesota Vikings

Round 1  | Pick 12

NFL.com Analysis -The Vikings surprisingly nab Ponder with their first-round pick. He has all of the leadership skills, intelligence and intangibles to be an effective starting quarterback, but the Vikings will need to tweak their offense to suit his skills as a quick-rhythm passer. He might not be ready to assume the mantle on Week 1, but he could be better than anyone anticipates as a pro quarterback.

Rodney Hudson

6-2 / 299 lbs. / Offensive Lineman

Mobile, AL (B.C. Rain)

Selected By:

Kansas City Chiefs

Round 2  | Pick 23 (55)

NFL.com Analysis -Scott Pioli addresses the Chiefs’ biggest offensive need with the selection of Hudson. He brings strength, power and toughness to the interior of their offensive line as a potential guard or center. This should help Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones find plenty of running room between the tackles.

Markus White

6-4 / 266 lbs. / Defensive End

West Palm Beach, FL (John I Leonard)
