Warrick And Bush Earn ACC Weekly Honors

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida State’s Peter Warrick and Daryl Bush earned
Atlantic Coast Conference player of the week honors as they led the
Seminoles to a 35-28 win over No. 15 Clemson last weekend.

Warrick garnered offensive back of the week honors as he scored three
touchdowns and racked up 372 all-purpose against the Tigers. The sophomore
from Bradenton, Fla., pulled in a 48-yard scoring pass from Thad Busby to
allow the Seminoles to regain a 21-14 lead in the third quarter. In the
fourth quarter, Warrick returned a punt 90 yards for a score to give FSU a
28-17 advantage and after the Tigers closed the gap to 28-25, Warrick
caught a Busby swing pass and streaked the sidelines on an 80-yard scoring

Warrick’s 90-yard punt return was the second longest in FSU history and
earned the AT&T Long Distance “punt return” award. In Warrick’s honor,
AT&T has donated $400 to the NCAA’s Degree-Completion Scholarship Program.

Bush, a senior linebacker from Altamonte Springs, Fla., came up with his
first career interception to regain possession for the Seminoles after a
fumble, leading to a Bill Gramatica field goal. Bush collected 10 tackles
on the day, including five solo stops, a third-down stop and one for a
loss. He also recorded two sacks, including one for seven yards on a first
and goal at the two-yard line after which Clemson had to settle for a field
