TALLAHASSEE, FL — The No. 3 Florida State Seminoles (6-0, 4-0 in the
ACC) had their final practice for 15 periods in shorts at the FSU football
practice fields Thursday evening before the team leaves for
Charlottesville, VA to take on ACC-conference foe Virginia at Scott
Stadium, Saturday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
The team began practice with kick-off and punt coverage drills before
breaking off into offensive and defensive segments. The highlight of the
practice was the starting defensive secondary unit tallying six
interceptions off the scout team.
“We prepared as good as we could this week,” said Coach Bobby Bowden.
“Now it’s a matter of going out and playing as hard as we can.
“We emphasized a lot on our kicking game this week, because we know it’s
got to be good against them.”
FSU head trainer Randy Oravetz noted that their were no significant
injuries entering the game, so everybody who is traveling are eligible to
