FSU Track Teams Open Indoor Season at Florida Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida State men’s and women’s track teams
started the 1998 season with an indoor meet at the O’Connell Center.

Lakeisha Mose and Rikke Ronholt recorded first place finishes to pace the
Lady Seminoles. Mose won the women’s shot put with a throw of 47-3.50
while Ronholt, an All-American last season, took the 800m title with a time
of 2:11.54. Mose also recorded a second place effort in the weight throw

Jody Lawrence was the top performer for the men as he finished second in
both the weight throw (61-6.75) and the shot put (54-6.50). Freshman Jason
Dean added a third place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 15-0.25.

Both teams will continue the indoor season January 24th at the Arkansas
State Invitational.
