Florida State Cross Country Competes at Oregon Invitational

Eugene, OR — The Florida State men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the Oregon Invitational at Alton-Baker Park. The men placed fifth out of nine teams while the women were ninth of nine in the Division I standings.

Leading the way for the men was Aaron Scheer. Scheer was again the Seminoles’ top runner as he placed tenth with a time of season-best 24:59 on the 8K course. For the women, Nicole Singleton was the top finisher in 18:54 (5K) and 28th overall.

Florida State will host the 1997 ACC Cross Country Championships on Monday, November 3 at Seminole Golf Course.
