To the family of Ronalda Pierce, I pray that the Lord will give you strength in these times. I want you to know that you have your christian brothers and sisters who care about your loss and feel your pain. I never met her, but I did see her around town. I couldn’t take my eye’s off her because she was taller than me. So, I ask the family to hold on to Gods loving hand and he will lead and guide you. Continue to lean and depend on Jesus.

Shenika (Decatur, Georgia)
Although I do not know Ronalda, I read the story in the newspaper and I am deeply saddened by it. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pierce family and the Florida State family. Cherish the moments that were given to you to spend with Ronalda and REMEMBER FOREVER. To her teammates, I too play basketball and I can’t begin to imagine what you are going through right now. Use her as your motivation and continue to strive. To her family you guys were blessed to have a wonderful student-athlete in your lives for these past 19 years. Keep her close to your heart, and cherish the moments.

My deepest sympathy, Shenika

Julie Conner – ABAC Womens Basketball Coach – Tifton, Georgia
I had the opportunity to watch Ronalda play on several occasions during her high school career. She was a very nice young lady and a great basketball player. She was a good example of what young ladies from South Georgia can accomplish. She made us very proud. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pierce family, the Ashburn community, and Coach Semarau and the entire FSU Lady Seminole family.

As a father of a “pre-teen” (as my eleven year old likes to refer to herself) I can think of no greater loss for a parent to face than a death of their beloved child. My heart goes out to the parents and other family members of Ronalda and to all her friends who loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. God bless and comfort each and every one of you.

Jeri Joiner (Tallahassee, FL)

Our prayers are with Ronalda’s family. It’s always hard to lose someone, but a child so full of life seems to hit harder. We enjoyed watching her play and following her career. She was a role model for alot of young girls expecially for girls from small towns. She will be greatly missed.
