Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth At Beacon Woods Invitational

Bayonet Point, FL— The Florida State women’s golf team finished the
Beacon Woods Invitational in fifth place after posting a final-round team
score of 314. The three-day total of 934 was three strokes behind
Mississippi State and four back of Central Florida.

The Lady Seminoles were led by Erika Iding. Iding, a junior from
Lansing, MI, finished the tournament tied for 18th with a total of 234.
Amy Bond and Aguri Okura both finished tied for 20th with three-round
totals of 235. Amy Spooner finished tied for 26th, while Sarah Capie
placed tied for 31st.

Indiana University won the tournament, beating Mississippi by 15 strokes.
Megan Breen of Ole Miss took home medalist honors, beating Indiana’s Jenny
Gray by one stroke.

The Lady Seminoles travel to the Furman Invitational this weekend.
