Florida State Shuts Out LSU 3-0


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State women’s soccer team (6-7) had their
third consecutive 3-0 shut out victory, in a win against Louisiana State
(0-12). FSU defeated Elon and Stetson by a 3-0 score in the previous two
matches.



Veteran midfielder Jessica Driscoll scored the eventual game-winning goal
in the 39th minute from the right post off of a pass from Ashley Halter.
She then set up the next score for the Seminoles in the 46th minute when
she floated the ball to Jill Ford who headed in the score from in front of
the box near the start of the second half.



FSU scoring was completed with Leslie Del Rio’s goal in the 80th minute
off of Lauren Lynch’s assist.



The Seminoles outshot the Tigers by a 19-4 advantage and held LSU with no
shots in the second half. The Tribe also collected eight corner kicks to
LSU’s zero.
