FSU Setback by #1 Carolina 9-0



CHAPEL HILL, NC — The Florida State women’s soccer team (2-2, 0-2 in the
ACC) was dealt a setback Sunday afternoon as the North Carolina Tar Heels,
winners of 14 national championships, defeated the Seminoles 9-0 in front
of 2,456 at Fetzer Field.



FSU was only able to get off two shots on goal the entire game by team
leader Erin Grimsley and true freshman Sally Shelgren as compared to UNC’s
34 shots on goal.



All-ACC goalkeeper Melissa Juhl tallied six saves on the day.



UNC’s Raven McDonald headed in the eventual game-winning goal at the 9:47
mark off of a pass by All-ACC player Laurie Schwoy.
