COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Outside hitters Holly Schneider and Jennifer Werrick
each tallied double-doubles as the third-seeded Lady Seminole volleyball
team downed sixth-seeded Wake Forest 15-6, 15-11, 15-11 to advance to the
semifinals of the ACC Volleyball Tournament in Ritchie Coliseum. Florida
State improves to 23-10 with the victory, its 17th three-game sweep of the

Schneider and middle hitter Aisha Thornton.

Deacons rallied to close the gap to just one point at 12-11 before a pair
of kills from Schneider and a solo block by Hawks put the game away for
FSU at 15-11.
The teams battle vigorously in the third game as Wake Forest took an early
advantage but the Lady Seminoles responded to go ahead 6-5. With the
scored tied at 9, a Sarah Rickertsen service ace gave the Tribe a lead

Hawks posting 11. On defense, Rickertsen, Schneider, Werrick, and LaToya
