Florida State Earns Win No. 20


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Five Lady Seminoles tallied double-digit kills a the
Florida State volleyball team improved to 20-5 and 7-4 and a tie for second
place in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a four-set (15-12, 9-15, 15-10,
15-13) victory over North Carolina in Tully Gym this evening.



Outside hitters Holly Schneider and Jennifer Werrick led the way with 20
kills each, but it was middle hitter Susan Hawks who dominated the match.
Hawks recorded a .425 hitting performance off of 18 kills, one error and 40
attempts and led the team with eight blocks, including three solo blocks.
Aisha Thornton and Kate Hemlepp contributed 14 and 11 kills, respectively,
while Thornton also recorded five blocks on the evening.



Florida State will host NC State tomorrow night at 8 p.m. in Tully Gym.
