Florida State Volleyball Wins Florida Atlantic Tournament

BOCA RATON, FL — The Lady Seminole volleyball team won the Florida
Atlantic Tournament by beating Mercer. The win was a three game victory
over the Bears 15-9, 15-7, and 15-7.

Latoya Presberry and Susan Hawks dominated the match on the offensive end
by contributing 15 and 12 kills, respectively. It was Presberry’s second
straight game with double-digit kills in the tournament, while Hawk’s
strong offensive showing throughout the tournament earned her recognition
on the All-Tournament team. Holly Schneider was the only other Seminole
selected to the All-Tournament team.

The win completed a three match sweep for the Seminoles through the
tournament and improved their overall record to 12-0. Florida State’s
previous two victories in the tournament came over Florida International
and Florida Atlantic.

The Lady Seminoles return home to face the #2 nationally ranked Florida
Gators in Tully Gymnasium Wednesday night at 7:00.
