Hemlepp Snags Rookie of the Week Honor Again

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State volleyball outside hitter Kate Hemlepp
has been selected the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie-of-the-Week, marking
the third time this season the Boca Raton, Fla., native has earned the
honor.



Hemlepp helped lead Florida State to conference victories over previously
unbeaten Clemson and Georgia Tech last weekend. She finished the week with
27 total kills, and a .333 hitting percentage in starting both matches and
playing in all eight games. Against Clemson, the 5-11 freshman recorded a
double-double with a season-high 14 kills and 10 digs while registering
three blocks. In the Georgia Tech match, Hemlepp tallied five service
aces.



Florida State is 15-2 overall and 3-1 in the ACC and continue action at
Virginia and Maryland this weekend.
