FSU Cross Country Teams Close Out Season


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Florida State men’s cross country team placed 14th out of 25 teams at the NCAA District IX Meet. Aaron Scheer covered the 10K Spain Park course in 31:37, finishing 14th overall, to pace the men. The women, competing individually, were led by Diana Hartnup’s time of 19:07.



Josh Ware was the second runner for the FSU men, placing 50th with a time of 32:43. Rounding out the scoring were David Ogletree (76th – 33:23), Justin Palmer (96th – 34:02) and Jonas Amos (131st – 35:23). Tim Broe won the individual title in 30:24 and also helped Alabama to the team championship.



Following Hartup on the women’s side were Natalie Reid (88th – 19:25) and Cynthia Campbell (124th – 20:17). Becki Wells of Florida took the women’s individual title in 17:16 as Florida also won the team championship.
