Sunday, April 18th on Miracle Field at Messer Park, about 30 `Noles were on hand to encourage the athletes and families involved with SportsAbility of the Tallahassee Miracle Sports Leagues. And they were great!

Seminoles student-athletes were there to encourage and motivate, as well as serve as buddies to participants as they played power soccer, baseball and frisbee golf.

“My kids were just thrilled to meet Seminoles! They didn’t care if you played basketball, soccer, or you swam; they just cared that you were interested in them and that you wore the garnet and gold. You represented the posters on their walls and the logos on their shirts and that made you COOL,” said Ryan Sprague, Associate Pastor-King’s Way Christian Church and former FSU student-athlete.

SportsAbility is the premier event of the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association (FDOA) that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by promoting active living. SportsAbility provides first hand access to resources and demonstrations of activities designed to encourage participation regardless of age or ability level.

SportsAbility is much more than fun, it is a wonderful occasion to help educate the public about the importance of physical activity and about recreational opportunities while also providing valuable information of other important community resources available to people, including those with disabilities.
