TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State indoor volleyball wasted no time getting back on the court following a historical 2013 season, as it gets ready to host LSU and South Carolina in an all-day event on Saturday at Tully Gym.
“Spring is a great time to try different line-ups, put players in pressure situations and evaluate how individuals are improving,” head coach Chris Poole said. “Since the matches do not count for a record, it gives us more flexibility to try different things and see how it works out in a game type atmosphere against an opponent.”
All three squads will play eight full sets as well as two sets to 15 points, equaling out to two five-set matches. The teams will first play a pair of full sets and one 15-point set against each other before competing again in two more full sets.
Florida State will be on court against South Carolina at 9:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. In addition, the Seminoles will play LSU at 11:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
The event schedule is as follows:
