TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State volleyball program will officially begin its spring volleyball schedule this weekend by hosting the Florida State Invitational on March 27.
Coming off an Elite 8 appearance during the 2009 season, FSU returns to action on Saturday by playing against Georgia Southern at 9:15 a.m., LSU at 11:30 a.m., Auburn at 1:30 p.m. and finally a team comprised of Seminole volleyball alumni players at 2:30 p.m.
The ‘Noles will then travel to take part in the Atlanta Collegiate Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech and Georgia State on April 4. The first match is set for 9 a.m. and is bracket play so FSU’s schedule will depend on how well it does in the morning.
Game times have not been announced.
On April 10, FSU returns to Tallahassee and will host Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tulane, Georgia Tech and Troy. Game times for those matches have yet to be determined.
Finally, Florida State travels to Dallas, Texas to play in the TCU Invitational. That spring tournament will also feature Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Ole Miss, TCU, SMU, North Texas and Houston.
