Assistant Director of Event Management

Alex Gallant, a native of Salem, N.H., joined the Florida State University Facilities and Events staff on June 8, 2015 as an Assistant Director of Event Management.
In her role, Gallant has facility and event oversight for the women’s soccer and softball teams. She handles all home events for soccer and softball and any facility needs for the Complex. Gallant also assists in several other facility and event management needs at other Florida State University home athletic events.

Gallant was previously the contact for the women’s volleyball and the men’s and women’s golf teams. She handled home volleyball events in Tully Gymnasium and worked directly with the management of the Seminole Golf Course on any needs for the Seminoles’ golf men and women’s teams.

Prior to coming to Florida State, Gallant was the Operations/Scheduling Manager and Director of Club Sports at Merrimack College in Massachusetts. She was the game/event manager for all home Merrimack sporting events while coordinating all team travel and field rentals. Gallant also oversaw Merrimack’s emerging club sport program, which grew from eight to twelve established team sports from 2013 to 2015.

Gallant was a graduate assistant at Merrimack College from July 2012 to May 2013. She worked in all aspects in the athletic department including event management, athletic communications and business operations.

Gallant graduated from Merrimack College in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of the Arts in mathematics and education. Gallant also received her Master’s in Higher Education with a concentration in leadership and organization development from Merrimack in May 2013.

Gallant played on the Merrimack softball team all four years including during the 2011 season when the Warriors advanced to the NCAA East Super Regional.
