William Wheeler is in his third year as a member of the athletics staff at Florida State and is in his second year as an accounting specialist in the Athletics Business Office.
Wheeler’s responsibilities include working directly with eight of Florida State’s athletics programs (men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s golf) and four departments within athletics (marketing, sports information, digital media, spirit groups). He is responsible for managing the budget, approving travel authorizations, expense reports and requisitions for those eight sports and four departments. He assists in creating and executing purchase orders, creates NCAA travel expense report reimbursements and audits bookstore invoices for all scholarship athletes.
Wheeler came to Florida State in 2014 after serving as the Supervisor of Ticket Operations at Montclair State University. He also served as a Business Operations Intern where he worked game day ticket operations and assisted with game day site supervision. He also served an internship at Seton Hall University in 2012 where he worked with the marketing, business, compliance and facilities and operations offices.
Wheeler graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth in 2013 with a Master’s in Business Management. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Elizabeth’s in 2012. While completing his advanced degrees, Wheeler was a member of the International Honor Society for Business (Sigma Beta Delta) and the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society (Kappa Gamma Pi).
