Sucupira, Chang Advance To Round Two In NCAA Doubles Competition, Friday not before 3:00 p.m.

ATHENS, Ga. –
Winning tiebreak in a second set, Florida State men’s tennis duo senior Jonathas Sucupira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and junior Sam Chang (Young-Ming, Taiwan) defeated Louisville’s No. 18 Damar Johnson and Slavko Radman 6-3, 7-6 (2) on University of Georgia’s campus in round one of the 2007 Doubles Championships.

“The guys played really well,” head coach Dwayne Hultquist said. “The guys are healthy and had a really good ranked win today.”

The Seminoles will now advance to the Round of 32 to take on Illinois’ No. 8 Kevin Anderson and Ryan Rowe tomorrow (May 25) not before 3:00 p.m. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

“Tomorrow will definitely be a challenge,” Hultquist explain. “We’re looking forward to a good match against Illinois.”
