TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State women’s basketball team will have three additional games televised during the 2009-10 season as announced by Sun Sports on Thursday. The Seminoles will appear on Sun Sports Nov. 17 when they travel to Gainesville to take on Florida in the annual rivalry battle. Florida State will also appear on Sun Sports in the final two home games of the season against Virginia Tech (Feb. 18) and Miami (Feb. 25).
The Seminoles will appear in 10 televised games during the 2009-10 season with the matchup against the Gators kicking things off on Nov. 17. A little over two weeks later the ‘Noles will travel to Bloomington, Ind. for the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in a game that will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Once the ACC season gets underway, Florida State will appear on the league’s Regional Sports Network (RSN) five times – at Miami (Jan. 10), at Duke (Jan. 29), at North Carolina (Feb. 1), at Georgia Tech (Feb. 15) and at Virginia (Feb. 22).
The Seminoles final televised game will occur on Feb. 28 in a game that will likely have an effect on the seedings for the ACC Tournament when Florida State travels to Maryland in a nationally televised game on ESPN2.
Florida State opens the exhibition season Nov. 1 when it hosts Valdosta State at 2 p.m. in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
