Consolation Bracket Final Game:

Georgia State def. Virginia Tech – 4-1


The Lady Panthers recorded seven hits, including three extra base hits on
their way to the 4-1 victory. Buffie Chournos drove in two runs with a
home run over the left field fence. Georgia State improved to 16-15 while
Virginia Tech fell to 15-9.

Championship Bracket Final Game:

Michigan def. Kansas – 9-0 (5 innings)


A five-run first inning gave Michigan an early advantage and the Wolverines
never looked back. Michigan scored two runs in the second and third
innings and the game was called in the fifth inning due to the eight-run
rule. Kansas had just one hit and committed three errors. No. 14 Michigan
went 6-0 in the tournament and improve to 18-6 overall while Kansas went
4-2 in the tournament and go to 17-14 on the season.
