Terry Long Named ACC Men’s Track & Field Coach Of The Year

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Wednesday that Florida State track and field head coach Terry Long was named Men’s Coach of the Year, as voted on by the conference coaches. Long recently led the Seminoles men’ team to its first ACC outdoor title over the weekend. This is the third ACC coach of the year award for Long, who won the honor in 1994 and 2000, as well.


At the 2002 ACC men’s outdoor meet, Long coached six Seminoles to individual titles, while 15 men earned All-ACC honors.


In 1994, Long led the men’s team to an ACC indoor title, and in 2000 led the Lady Seminoles to an ACC outdoor title.
