KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Seminoles saved their best diving for last at the 2012 Winter Diving National Championships as they came to a close today in Knoxville, Tenn.

After qualifying sixth into the semifinal round of the platform event, senior Mike Neubacher moved on to finals and dove to a six place finish with a total 1214.40 over the course of three rounds.

Other key performances throughout the week include his brother, sophomore Tom Neubacher, who took home a bronze medal in the men’s 1 meter springboard event with a total of 391.05. Landon Marzullo was also in on the event’s final, where he scored a 365.75 en route to a fifth place finish.

Five athletes have qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Federal Way, Wash. on June 17-24, 2012. Junior Ariel Rittenhouse, freshman Ford McLiney, Tom Neubacher, Mike Neubacher and junior Nick Klein will all be representing FSU at the event.

Before their last dual meet weekend of the season on Jan. 13-14, 2012, the Seminoles will head to Naples, Fla. for their annual training trip.
