The Seminoles Head On The Road For The First Time This Season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State men’s tennis team will head on the road to face Vanderbilt and Furman this weekend. The Seminoles enter the weekend ranked 37th, up from 56th in the previous poll, and boast an undefeated record of 5-0. The Seminoles face the Commodores of Vanderbilt on Saturday, February 16th at 2 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn. The Commodores, unranked, enter the contest with a record of 3-1. The Seminoles have won both of the previous meetings with the Seminoles.


On Sunday, February 17th at 2:30 p.m., the Seminoles will face the Paladins of Furman University for the second time this season. In the first meeting between the two teams, only the doubles matches were played before rain halted the match. The Paladins are ranked 67th with a record of 1-4. Sunday’s match will be in Atlanta, Ga. The Seminoles hold a 24-4 edge in the all-time series record with the Paladins.


After this weekend’s matches, the Seminoles return home to face Stetson University on Tuesday, February 19th at 3 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
