Seminole fans eager to show their support can meet and greet the FSU football team and new coaching staff at the 2009 Seminole Football Kickoff Luncheon on Friday, Aug. 21, at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.
Presented by the Florida State University Alumni Association, the luncheon will feature “Voice of the Seminoles” Gene Deckerhoff and Head Coach Bobby Bowden, who will give his annual State of the Seminoles Address. New for this year’s event is the chance to sit at the Players’ Table.
This is the 58th year the Alumni Association has hosted the event, and legendary Professor Tommie Wright will open the show by playing his most famous composition – the FSU Fight Song, which he wrote 58 years ago at the beginning of his career at FSU in the College of Music.
Corporate sponsors for this year’s luncheon include the FSU License Tag and Legacy Toyota. Tickets are $15 for Open Seating, $25 for the Players Table, and $300 for the Coaches’ Table. Buy tickets online at www.alumni.fsu.edu, by calling (850) 644-2761 or in person at the Alumni Center, located at 1030 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32304.
