TALLAHASSEE, FL.– The top-ranked Florida State football team continued preparations for Saturday’s season opener against Louisiana Tech with an 18 period morning practice. The team practiced in shorts for approximately two hours, spending most of the morning working on Louisiana Techs decidedly tricky formations. The Seminoles will return to practice on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. for their last practice before Saturdays big showdown.
“With the fellas in shorts and helmets only, we spent some time going over a lot of those Louisiana Tech sets and trying to eliminate any confusion in that area,” head coach Bobby Bowden said. “These guys like to mix it up a lot, and we can sure get in trouble if were not prepared for that.”
While both offensive and defensive coaches were happy with the effort on both sides of the ball, the stand out play of the day was an acrobatic 15-yard grab over the middle by Peter Warrick.
