Tommy Polley at 6:18pm ET

I am here and ready for your questions. Let’s get started.

NolefaninOtown from dorms45.ucf.edu at 6:19pm ET

Tommy, with all FSU’s experence in big games, Is there really anything the Floirda Gators can throw at you guys that you have never seen?

Tommy Polley at 6:20pm ET

I don’t think so. We are a pretty experienced team and we have seem most everything.

dmy3 from sti.synovus.com at 6:20pm ET

First of all, congrats for coming back the way you have from surgery. That’s an inspiration to people on and off the field. I hope to see you punishing more RBs and QBs next year at Doak should you stay for your senior season like Weinke, Dunn, Warrick and many others. My question is, can FSU stop the passing attack of UF? The Noles are only (and I say “only” b/c I am a spoiled Nole) ranked 31st in Passing Efficiency Defense. And, will the QB swapping of Spurrier have any effect, mentally, on the defense?

Tommy Polley at 6:20pm ET

No, it doesn’t matter what QB is in there. They will run the same Steve Spurrier offense.

Rick from [208.204.155.241] at 6:21pm ET

Do you really think that if both you and Miami win out that you would truly deserve a shot at the National Championship?

Tommy Polley at 6:21pm ET

I think so. We have a great strength of schedule going for us. With a tough schedule you can slip up but that is why they have computers.

jimmy from nark.splitrock.net at 6:21pm ET

Do you ever get butterflies in big games like this?

Tommy Polley at 6:22pm ET

Yes, I do, it’s normal. You try not to get too excited but I do get a little nervous.

Craig Lovely from firn.edu at 6:22pm ET

Tommy Polley: What does the Florida Stae defense plan to do to stop Florida’s electric running game? I mean Earnest Grahm can plow through almost anything.

Tommy Polley at 6:22pm ET

Play assignment football. If we do that, we should be able to stop their run.

Brett from cl.msu.edu at 6:23pm ET

What players on Florida will need to be shut down in order for you to win Saturday?

Tommy Polley at 6:23pm ET

We have to shut down their receivers, stop the run and put pressure on the QB. If we can do all three, we will be able to win.

Jeremy Pickett from landis.fsu.edu at 6:24pm ET

I am a student here at Florida State and you are my favorite defensive player on the team. I love all the blocked punts you seem to have especially the one in the National Championship last year. That said do you think we can repeat or is Miami too far ahead in the BCS. What is the word around the Florida State camp? And also has it been addressed that Florida is going to try and knock out Weinke and how to protect this from happening?

Tommy Polley at 6:26pm ET

I believe we can repeat. We are little behind right now, but I think if we win this weekend we will gain a lot of points. Whoever wins this game will be in the driver’s seat to the Orange Bowl.

About knocking Chris out, that is the first I have heard of that. But remember, they have a quarterback too. We have one of the best offensive lines in the country, so protection shouldn’t be a problem.

hotlanta nole from dsl.flashcom.net at 6:26pm ET

Do you think you will emotional on Saturday with it being your last game at Doak Campbell? I will be in the stands cheering for you.

Tommy Polley at 6:26pm ET

It will be very emotional. Walking out there for the last time in such a big game and having my mom and family there will be great.

TDR from [134.240.33.185] at 6:27pm ET

Is the fast Seminole defense going to come after the Florida quarterbacks or are you going to make them make the mistake?

Tommy Polley at 6:27pm ET

We will mix it up a little.

nole4life12 from fortvalley.campuscwix.net at 6:27pm ET

Who would you rather have starting for Florida on Saturday and why?

Tommy Polley at 6:28pm ET

I would rather have Grossman because he is a little inexperienced and he hasn’t played in a big game like this. But really, it doesn’t matter.

Deuce from tnt2.norfolk2.va.da.uu.net at 6:28pm ET

Tommy, I’m a middle school outside linebacker, tight end, and special teams starter. What do I have to do during the off-season to be a better linebacker? What do you do?

Tommy Polley at 6:29pm ET

Just keep working hard. Lift weights, keep running and just have fun playing the sport you love. If you do that, you’ll be OK.

nole4life12 from fortvalley.campuscwix.net at 6:29pm ET

What do you think of coach Spurrier? I personally don’t like him, but I guess that’s because I’m a ‘Nole fan. Do the players crack jokes on him a lot?

Tommy Polley at 6:30pm ET

I don’t really know him personally so I can only talk about what I have seen. He is very competitive and he gets the most out of his players. He seems a little arrogant at times, but he is just very competitive.

Justin from bmi.net at 6:30pm ET

Hi Tommy, What has it been like for you to play so well this season after coming back from injury and helping put the Noles in position for another National Title?

Tommy Polley at 6:31pm ET

It has been great. People didn’t expect me to come back so soon, but I worked hard this summer and things have worked out for me.

Tommy Polley at 6:31pm ET

That’s all the time I have for now. Thanks for all the questions.

Go Noles!
