With the weathermen predicting an 80% chance of rain Tuesday, Florida State and Troy State have agreed to postpone their doubleheader. The twin bill was originally scheduled to be played Tuesday, February 24 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in Tallahassee. The new date for the double header is March 16. The games will still be played in Tallahassee, FL and the game times are once again set for 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Florida State will return to the diamond this weekend in one of the nation’s most prestigious tournaments. The NFCA Leadoff Classic, held in Columbus, GA, features 15 of the nation’s top 25 teams taking part in a three-day tournament. FSU will open play Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Army and follow that game with a meeting against No. 5 Washington. Saturday the Tribe will conclude pool play against 15th-ranked Texas. Bracket play starts later that afternoon.
