Twitter Vote: Bradham Is MVP

Nov. 14, 2011

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leave it to another crazy Florida State versus Miami game to give us our closest MVP vote of the season.

After a 23-19 win over the Hurricanes, this week’s MVP as tweeted to me by FSU fans on Twitter is senior linebacker Nigel Bradham, who posted a career-high 10 tackles, one forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a half tackle for loss.

Bradham narrowly edged out junior cornerback/return man Greg Reid and ACC Specialist of the Week Shawn Powell for this week’s Twitter honor, which is a weekly occurrence after each Seminoles’ win.

The special teams, EJ Manuel, Lamarcus Joyner and Devonta Freeman also nabbed a few votes each.

Here are some of the top comments I received today about Florida State’s game-MVP candidates:

@jrehm23: “I say G5. The return pretty much ended the game.”

@BustedJoshGibbs: “Nigel “BadMan” Bradham should be MVP for removing LaRon Byrd’s soul from his body. Al Golden even agrees.”

@JordanBelser: “punter Shawn Powell was definitely the MVP of the game.”

@jordanede: “[Nigel Bradham] for sure! He went #beastmode. His stats along with that punishing blow put him at the top”

@CarlosRich1: “Man I would say the special teams.Ran two back but one was called back…Go Noles”

@chrisburrell00: “Greg Reid, he is in BEAST MODE!!!!”

@ShaneKirkley: ” My vote is for Powell!! Worlds best punter.”

@BrianGeorge22: “special teams won the game hands down, no single player”

@_TAMPA_REALTOR_: “MVPs are always tough…Having said that Devonta Freeman gave the ‘Canes fits and is the best FSU back since WD.”

@cbjfan31: “mvp Nigel bradham. Enough said”

@Hardee11: “Nigel Bradham, hands down. He played angry and it showed. Joyner and Freeman a close second. But Bradham truly shined. #Noles”

@DutchFSU: “If you haven’t picked, Powell da Punter. ST play was rediculous. DHop needs to give em a golden pair.”

@Raikus: “Definitely Bradham. Let the team with tackles, forced a turnover on his perfect hit (taken away), and played excellent game.”
