USA Today/ESPN Poll: No. 14

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (SEMINOLES.COM) – The Florida State women’s basketball team is ranked No. 14 in the 2010-11 USA Today/ESPN Division I Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, released Tuesday.

Defending national champion Connecticut leads the way at No. 1 followed by a tie at No. 2 for Baylor and Stanford, Tennessee at No. 4 and ACC foe Duke at No. 5.

Joining the Seminoles and Blue Devils in the top 25 is fellow ACC member North Carolina at No. 18.

The Seminoles are also ranked No. 18 in the preseason Associated Press poll that was released last week.

Florida State opens its season with a 6 p.m. contest against Alabama State on Nov. 12 at home. The Seminoles defeated Alabama-Huntsville, 122-58, in an exhibition game on Oct. 24.
