TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Florida State University junior Vicky Gill was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Gill, as transfer from St. Andrew’s Academy in Scotland, took first-place at the Auburn University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 29th, with a time of 16:18.30 in the 5K course to lead the Lady Seminoles to a second-place finish. The Auburn Invitational was Gill’s first NCAA competition.
Gill is the second Lady Seminole to win the honor this year. Fellow junior Allison Lind was named ACC Performer of the Week on September 4th, after placing sixth at the Appalachian State Invitational.
On the men’s side, Wake Forest’s Nathan Sisco took the honor after placing tenth at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. Sisco ran the 8K course in 24:28.60.
