Led by the ACC’s top leading server in conference matches, Sarah Griffin (0.54 a/g) and one of the top blockers in the league, Lauren Scott (1.15 bpg) the Florida State volleyball team jump starts a five-match road trip this week…The Seminoles battle Clemson Friday at 7pm before traveling to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech Saturday at the same time…In league matches, FSU hits .186 percents; opponents manage a slightly lower .183 mark…Senior Andreza Santos paces the FSU offense with a .286 hitting percentage and 3.23 kills per game…Quarterbacking the offense are junior setters Jessica Skower (9.74 apg) and Zrinka Tomic (5.81 apg)… The Seminoles found strength in the performance of outside hitter Makini Thompson in the previous weekend’s matches…Thompson hit .242 percent, and posed threats to opposing matchups with 3.42 kpg…The one constant this season has been the performance of libero Summer Weissing…The sophomore Boca Raton native averages 3.46 dpg…Senior Kristen Rust averages 2.71 kills per game and 2.75 digs per outing…Florida State has not defeated the Yellow Jackets in eight straight matches…The Seminoles fell to Clemson earlier this season but have not loss twice in a season to the Tigers during the rally-scoring era.
