Welcome to the first edition of the Seminole Road Report.

Throughout the 2010-11 season, Seminoles.com will present updates on the women’s basketball team during its travels. With trips to the Bahamas, New York City, Connecticut, Missouri and a host of Atlantic Coast Conference schools on the docket, be sure to keep checking back to get all the updates on the Seminoles.

First up is the one-day trip to Auburn:

Sunday, Nov. 14, 3:30 p.m. – The Seminoles boarded the team bus and set out on the four-hour drive into Alabama. While Auburn was the ultimate destination, a pit-stop at senior point guard Courtney Ward’s house in Montgomery, Ala. was first one the to-do list. While on the bus, everyone had the pleasure of watching some humorous home videos of Ward.

Sunday, Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m. ET – FSU coaches, players and staff members arrived at the Ward household and were greeted to a house full of family ready to welcome the Seminoles to Alabama. With the Cowboys-Giants football game on in the background, everyone feasted on ribs, chicken, vegetables, homemade rolls and caesar salad. The meal was then followed by some delicious homemade desert. Many thanks to Courtney’s family for the great times and great food.

Sunday, Nov. 14, 9:45 p.m. ET – The Seminoles arrived in Opelika, Ala. at the Marriott Auburn Grand National.

Monday, Nov. 15, 12:00 p.m. ET – After a delicious breakfast, the team boarded the bus and made the 15-minute drive to Auburn’s campus for shoot-around. Monday’s game would serve as the second basketball contest ever played at the brand new Auburn Arena.

Monday, Nov. 15, 12:30 p.m. ET – The Seminoles started shoot-around at the very nice arena on Auburn’s campus. Shoot-around goes well as all the players put in the necessary pregame work needed for the night’s ACC-SEC showdown.

Monday, Nov. 15, 2:10 p.m. ET – FSU returns to the hotel where everyone will relax before film and the pregame meal.

Monday, Nov. 15, 5:00 p.m. ET – Not too long after finishing pregame meal, some good news was announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Star freshman forward Natasha Howard was named the league’s co-Rookie of the Week for her 20-point performance in FSU’s Nov. 12 opener against Alabama State.

Monday, Nov. 15, 9:00 p.m. ET – The Seminoles came up with a huge win at Auburn. The final score was 67-61.
