Warrick Dunn Receives International Honor

Former FSU football star Warrick Dunn is scheduled to be inducted into the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame June 24 in Boise, Idaho.

The organization honors three athletes annually for their exceptional community service work.

Dunn, a 10-year veteran of the NFL, is the founder of the Warrick Dunn Foundation and Homes for the Holidays.

He will join Vlade Divac (NBA) and Jimmie Heuga (US Olympic Skiing / 1964) in this year’s class.

Other NFL players to have been honored by this organization include Drew Bledsoe, Mel Blount, Tom Landry, Steve Largent and Steve Young.

This is the second award that Dunn has received this year. In January Dunn was recognized as the inaugural Home Depot NFL Neighborhood MVP as part of Super Bowl Week festivities
