Weather Causes Saturday’s FSU/UVa Baseball Game To Be Postponed

April 30, 2005

Tallahassee, FL – Rain, lightning and generally miserable weather has caused Saturday’s 7:00 p.m. game between No. 15 Florida State and Virginia to be postponed. The two teams will complete their ACC series Sunday with a doubleheader slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. Sunday’s second game will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. contest. There will be a 5:00 p.m. travel curfew so no inning will begin after that time.

Barret Browning (3-2) is slated to throw Sunday’s first game against Mike Ballard (6-3). Game Tracker will be available for all this year’s games along with Steve Melewski’s live radio broadcast available on WFLA locally and on the Internet at seminoles.com.

Seminole baseball fans remember that the second Mike Martin Luncheon is scheduled for Monday, May 2 at the University Center Club. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at 12:00 p.m. Tickets are $10. Hear from the Seminole head coach as his team chases after another ACC Championship.
