Base Hits (What You Need To Know):
• Florida State takes on crosstown rival Florida A&M for the last time this season as the two teams play a 6 p.m. contest on Wednesday at JoAnne Graf Field. The Lady Rattlers won the last contest, 4-0, but haven’t won at FSU since 1999, losing 16 straight.

• The Seminoles go into their weekend series with NC State needing just one win to become the first conference team to amass 100 ACC victories.

• Following the FAMU game, there will be a home run derby between FSU staff, student-athletes and local media. Sunday’s 1 p.m. NC State game is Kids Take Over The Park Day.

• Shortstop Yuruby Alicart (Maracay, Venezuela) belted her eighth home run at Virginia, moving her into fourth place on the FSU single season charts. She needs just two more to tie the record set by Tiffany Daniels (1987) and Brandi Stuart (2002)
