Dig, Set, Spike (What You Need To Know):
• With the home season complete, the Florida State volleyball team goes on the road for its final four matches. The Seminoles travel to Tobacco Road this week where they play a pair of 7 p.m. matches at North Carolina (Nov. 16) and NC State (Nov. 17).

• The Seminoles swept both of their matches with the Tar Heels and Wolfpack earlier in the year. Florida State has not swept a season series with North Carolina since 1998 and hasn’t lost a match to NC State since November 13, 1999.

• In the 3-0 win over Virginia Tech on Sunday, senior middle blocker Sarah Griffin (Hereford, Texas) had six service aces – one short of her career high – to take over fifth place in school history with 137 aces.

• Junior outside hitter Makini Thompson (Quincy, Mass.) had 26 kills against Virginia, the highest total by a Seminole since Kristen Rust totaled 29 versus North Carolina on October 15, 2004 – the same day head coach Todd Kress reached 200 career wins.

• Another senior who moved up the career charts was Jessica Skower (Naples, Fla.). The setter turned outside hitter had nine assists last weekend to move up to third on the FSU all-time list with 2,981 assists.
