Westrup Continues To Lead Florida State At Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –
Senior Caroline Westrup is in a tie for 26th place at the Florida State women’s golf team is in 16th place after two rounds of the Tar Heel Invitational at Finley Golf Course. Westrup, freshman Hannah Thomson and senior Lauren Cousart are in the top 45 of the individual standings.

The second round of the 54-hole tournament was marked by beautiful Chapel Hill weather and exciting play. Wake Forest, which began the day tied for first with Virginia, took control of first place with a tournament low 291 total. Wake Forest’s Natalie Sheary leads all competitors after Saturday’s second round with a score of 141. Louisville’s Cindy LaCrosse shot a 68 in the second round, the tournament’s best so far. LaCrosse is in 2nd place with a 142 total.
