PORTSMOUTH, Va. (seminoles.com) – Florida State senior Okaro White averaged 8.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocks in three games during the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament – the annual NBA predraft event for college seniors. White totaled a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in the second game of the tournament and finished the event with a flurry as he scored eight points, pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked five shots in his final game.

White displayed his incredible versatility on April 19 with 10 points, 10 rebounds, two blocked shots and one steal in an 85-71 win over Portsmouth Sports Club. The Clearwater, Fla., native started the game, scored his 10 points on 4 of 9 shooting from the field and pulled down 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of play.

White scored eight points in a 95-75 victory over Mike Duman Auto Sales on April 18. He grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds – seven of which came on the offensive end and added five blocks and four steals in 26 minutes.

White began the event with a six-point, five-rebound and three-blocked shot performance against Portsmouth Partnership.

The PIT is the first of two NBA predraft camps. The next one, featuring most of the prominent players expected to be selected in the first round, will take place in Chicago on May 14-18. The draft itself is scheduled for June 26 in New York.
