Williamson led the Seminoles with a career-low 69 in the second round. Florida State begins Sunday’s final round looking to earn its second consecutive top-five team finish during its four-match fall season.

Florida State played its second consecutive team round at even par or better and will look to move up the leader board during the final 18 holes. Kinhult is looking to earn her second consecutive top-15 individual finish while Williamson is looking to finish in the top-15 of the individual standings in her first career appearance for the Seminoles.

No. 2 ranked Alabama is in first place in the team standings and holds a 10-stroke lead over Texas. The Crimson Tide carded a tournament record 262 (22 strokes under par) in the second round to take the team lead over the Longhorns. Jiwon Jeon of Alabama is in first place in the individual standings after carding a career-low 64 in the second round. She has a two-round total of 130 and a one shot lead over teammate Lauren Stephenson in the race for the individual championship.

“We put together and lot of pars today and didn’t make and many putts as we needed to,” said Head Coach Any Bond. “We have another day tomorrow to play well and move up the leader boards. Our goal is to learn something every day and we did that today. I was very happy for Amelia, who put together another solid round.”

Williamson carded a 2 under par 69 and has a two round total of 139. She carded a 1 under par score of 70 in the first round and has nine birdies in the first two rounds of her collegiate career. She closed the round with two birdies on her last five holes – including her fifth birdie of the day on hole No. 18 – to finish with her first career score in the 60’s.

“I did the basics just right today,” said Williamson. “I’ve been solid ball striking both days now. The first round I recovered well and minimized my errors. Today my errors came from two silly 3-putts. I hit 16 fairways and 15 greens which given the conditions was good. I stayed patient and am excited to see what my game has in store for me tomorrow.”

Williamson was two strokes under par on her final 13 holes of the afternoon.

Kinhult continued to play stellar golf in her first season as a Seminole.
