THE SERIES Thursday's meeting will be the first contest between Xavier and Florida State. Xavier traveled to Tallahassee last season and won the Tallahassee-Democrat Seminole Classic after defeating Oakland and UT-Chattanooga.

WE'RE HOME Ohio natives Brooke Wyckoff, a senior, and Katelyn Vujas, a sophomore, have been looking forward to the Xavier game for quite awhile. Wyckoff is from nearby West Chester, while Vujas hails from Wadsworth. The game was scheduled primarily for Wyckoff to get a chance to play at "home."
