THE SERIES
FSU has beaten Clemson just once in 23 games and it was back in the Seminoles’ first seson in the ACC. FSU won that game 79-66 in Tallahassee on February 1, 1992. The two teams first met in the 1980-81 season – a 78-59 Tiger win at the MUW Christmas Tournament in Columbus, Mississippi. The series was renewed when FSU joined the ACC i 1991-92. Clemson was the only league team that FSU didn’t beat at least once last year and the Tigers have won 20 straight over the Seminoles.
