Wake Forest holds a 13-8 series advantage over Florida State, but the Seminoles have won four of the last seven contests since Head Coach Sue Semrau’s arrival at Florida State. Back on January 14th, despite April Traylor’s 23 points, the Demon Deacons beat FSU 79-69. Last season the two clubs split, each winning on their home court with Wake winning 64-59 in Winston-Salem and FSU winning 76-47 inTallahassee.
The Seminoles were 3-1 in ACC play when they faced the Deacs in Winston-Salem the first time this season. Ironically, going into this game, the team is 3-1 the second time around in the ACC schedule.
15 AND COUNTING…
FSU’s 15 wins is the program’s most since the 1991-92 season, FSU’s last winning season at 17-11. With four regular-season games remaining and at least one game in the ACC tourney, FSU is guaranteed its first winning season since 1991-92.

* FSU has outrebounded its opponent in 18 of 23 games. There was also one tie.
* FSU has had double-digit assists in 20 games, including a season-high 25 assists in the Maryland game.
* FSU has won its 15 games by an average of 18.7 points per game.

THE MARYLAND WIN
FSU’s win over Maryland marked the first time this season that the Seminoles have won a game when trailing at halftime. FSU trailed 32-26 at halftime, but Levys Torres scored nine unanswered points to open the second half and the Tribe led the rest of the game.
The victory also gave FSU its first ever sweep of the Terrapins. FSU has now won four straight over Maryland, having won the second meeting and a tournament game last season.
FSU had a season-high 10 three-pointers at Maryland. Brooke Wyckoff had a career-high four threes while Molly Beal, who tied her career-high with five treys, scored a career-high 16 points.
FSU’s 7-5 ACC record is the program’s best start ever in league play. In 1991-92, FSU’s first year in the ACC, FSU had its best finish in the ACC at 8-8. That year at this point, the Seminoles were 6-6 in the ACC.
