Women’s Basketball To Host Georgia Tech On Monday At 4:30 p.m.

Florida State women’s basketball will host rival Georgia Tech on Monday afternoon at 4:30 at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center. The Seminoles are 11-4 overall and are in sole possession of third place in the ACC with a 3-1 record. The Tribe has won five of the last six games over Georgia Tech (11-5, 0-4) and FSU leads the overall series 13-12. The game will be televised regionally and will be broadcast locally and can also be heard via the Internet on www.seminoles.com.

THE SERIES
Monday’s contest will be the 26th meeting between Florida State and Georgia Tech. The Seminoles have won five out of the last six games with the Yellow Jackets and lead the series, 13-12. The series dates back to the 1974-75 season. Since joining the ACC in 1991-92, FSU has recorded three sweeps over Tech – in 1997-98, 1999-00 and 2000-01 – all in the Sue Semrau era.
