Women’s Basketball Travels To Virginia To Face The Cavaliers On Sunday

The Florida State women’s basketball team (15-9, 7-6) will travel to Charlottesville, Va., for a 1 p.m. contest with the Virginia Cavaliers (13-12, 7-7) on Sunday, February 23rd. The game will be televised regionally, including Sunshine Network, and features the ACC’s third and fourth place teams. FSU topped UVA, 55-46, back on January 23rd in Tallahassee.

THE SERIES
Sunday’s contest will be the 27th meeting between Florida State and Virginia. The Cavs lead the series 23-3. FSU’s first two wins over Virginia came in the 2000-01 season when the Seminoles took two out of three games, including an 83-77 win in the ACC Tournament. The Tribe topped Virginia 55-46 back on January 23rd.
