Women’s Golf Finishes 5th at NCAA East Regional

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — The Florida State women’s golf team will return to the NCAA Championships after finishing 5th at the NCAA East Regional in Blythewood, SC today. University of Georgia won the regional (884) with Furman (885), LSU (893) and Duke (894) finishing ahead of FSU (901). Ohio State, South Carolina and Auburn also qualified for the championships.

Senior Amy Bond had the highest finish for FSU, shooting 72 today and finishing the tournament tied for 11th at five over. Two other Lady Seminoles finished in the top thirty with Erika Iding tied for 17th and Amy Spooner tied for 27th.

The Lady Seminoles will head to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the NCAA Championships from May 19-22 at the Tulsa Country Club.
