Women’s Golf Finishes In 13th At Lady Gator Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida State Women’s golf team finished 13th at
the Lady Gator Invitational. The team shot a 315 in the final round to
finish with a total score of 952. Freshman Kristin Tamulis moved up ten
spots to finish the tournament in 27th place. Tamulis shot a 75, which was
the team low round for the second straight day to finish with a total score
of 234.

Junior Louise Wright had a score of 237 to finish in 35th place.
Freshman Beth McCumber fired a 76 in the final round to finish in the 48th
spot. Other Seminoles scores included Sophomore Kristen Sanborn with a
246, and Sophomore Alison Zimmer with a 248.

Tournament host Florida came from third place to capture the team
title. South Carolina finished one stoke ahead of LSU to finish in second
place. Furman’s Jennifer Perri stayed one stroke ahead of South Carolina’s
Kristy McPherson to capture the individual title.

The next tournament for the Tribe will be the Casa de Campo
Intercollegiate in Dominican Republic held on March 10-12.
